In Unità 4 we continue the introduction of the most basic elements of the Italian language through the exploration of family life, friends, and the home, as well as the particularities of Italian families and houses. Students learn to describe people’s personalities, talk about their likes and dislikes, and discuss what they can do. The in-class activity packet and the interactive exercises contain plenty of opportunities for students to explore contemporary Italian culture and put the language to use. Specifically, in this unit, students watch the film Io non ho paura and explore the family dynamics and human interactions it portrays, among other things.
