Use the irregular verbs tener and venir to describe things one has and things one has to do.

In this section, you will be introduced to two important verbs: tener and venir.  As with so many of the useful verbs, tener and venir have irregular conjugations. You just have to (tienes que) learn them, because without tener, you have nothing.

And as they say: “No hay mal que por bien no venga” (Literally: “there’s no bad from which good doesn’t come,” or “every cloud has a silver lining.”
